Mindfulness for Beginners
March 17 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm PDT
An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 17, 2021
This is a 4-week class that meets from 2/24/21 to 3/17/21
Mindfulness for Beginners introduces a simple yet powerful approach to dealing with stressful situations, negative thoughts, and difficult emotions. In this class you will learn breathing techniques, exercises designed to transform habitual ways of thinking about and reacting to stress, and a variety of simple and brief meditative practices that can be readily incorporated into daily life. You will also learn how to apply mindfulness for specific issues in your life.
Participants are encouraged to do daily home practice between classes, for while mindfulness and meditation are not difficult to do, like most things worth learning, they require consistent practice for mastery.
Pre-requisite: The Introduction to Mindfulness workshop, or equivalent understanding of mindfulness and meditation.
