Upcoming Classes

All classes and groups are Live and Online as of 3/17/20, and until further notice.

Our classes and groups are for adults only (age 20 – 80+). No experience with meditation or mindfulness is needed. The only pre-requisite is a willingness to be open to new ways of seeing and thinking about your experience.

Don’t see the class you’re looking for? Contact Rebecca –  I’m always interested in developing new classes, and may already have it in the works.

Mindfulness for Well-Being – C0126

January 26 @ 5:30 pm 7:30 pm PST

This class meets 4 Thursdays: Jan 26, Feb 2, 9, and 16, 2023

In this class, you will learn how to apply mindfulness for the specific issues in your life, whether anxiety, stress, chronic pain or illness, negative thinking, overeating, or drinking too much. Participants will learn a variety of mindfulness and meditation practices that have been proven to help in relieving anxiety, stress, and pain, whether emotional or physical, as well as to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.

Participants will be encouraged to do daily home practice between classes, for while mindfulness and meditation are not difficult to do, like most things worth learning, they require consistent practice for mastery.

Another name for this class is “Applied Mindfulness.” The target audience is adults who have taken an MBSR/MBCT class or learned mindfulness meditation, but maybe aren’t practicing regularly, and/or those who practice but would like additional support, from an experienced teacher in a group setting, to be able to apply it to current life stressors.

Pre-requisite: The Introduction to Mindfulness workshop, a previous Mindfulness class with Rebecca, or an equivalent understanding of mindfulness and meditation.
